***** The Brick House Smoke Shop Review *****

HeyY'all!  I decided to do a review on a local shop, because WHY NOT, am I right?  This shop is called The Brick House Smoke Shop, located in Merced Ca.  The owner's name is Scott, and he and his wife (I can never remember her name!) run and own the place.

I have been  going to this shop since I began vaping in April.  Scott was the first person I went to with questions about vaping and I bought my first kit, a V8 Stick kit with a Baby Beast tank by Smok, from him.  He takes the time to find out what you are looking for and what you need before he tries to sell you anything.  I went in intending to buy a top of the line elaborate kit from Smok, and he stopped me, assessed my knowledge of vaping (little to none), and the explained why that wasnt what I needed and showed me something more suited to the beginner I was.  He could have made more money off of the Alien 220 watt that I had wanted, but instead educated me and gave me what I needed and was suited more for my experience level.  He may have lost some money on the transaction but he gained a lifetime customer from it.

Scott and his wife also find out what new juices people are enjoying, and get them into the store for them.  I had found an E Juice line that I liked online, the Strawberry Watermelon Gum and Strawberry Belts by Candy Kings, and he ordered them and now carries them in his store so I won't have to order them online anymore.  No shipping wait time!  And I am not the only person he has done this with, I have spoken to other customers and they have had the same experience with the two of them.

Scott's wife (I really hate that I can never remember her name!) recently helped my mother with a purchase for my dad.  After finding out that my father has very little dexterity and no hand strength at all, she steered us away from the vape pipe model we had been looking at and told us they didn't carry what we needed.  She gave us a few places to look and we ended up finding one online.  She could have sold us that we were asking for, but instead took the time to figure out what we didn't know (that his lack of dexterity meant that an RDA isn't for him at all), and helped us find what we needed at another shop.  Everytime I go into the shop, she and Scott make me feel like family, and that is a feeling that is hard to come by.

The Brick House Smoke Shop is one of those small, locally owned, "Mom and Pop" type businesses that you see all the time in movies, but rarely in real life.  Friendly.  Helpful.  Knowledgeable.  Instructive.  Fun.  Everything a shop should be, they are, and effortlessly.  They literally go out of their way to make sure you leave with what you want and need, and that you leave with a smile on your face.  Honeslty, sometimes I even stop by their place just to shoot the s#!t with them for a bit!

This is also a head shop, so they have a wide selection of CBD oils and products, Kratos, and numerous "water tobacco pipes", lol.  Everything you might need for . . . . That stuff is there.  I don't get that stuff, but I have noticed they have a lot of everything you might need.

Appearance -  8 

Always clean and tidy, items are clearly marked with prices and attendants are able to find exactly what you need quickly.  There has never been a time when I have seen the place less then spotless, even after the Postman has come!  The store is set up with areas for the different products clearly separated.  The head shop items are kept away from the Vape items, and the vape items are kept away from the smoking items.

Customer Service - 10

They always have a friendly staff working, and the owners are amazing people too.  They are knowledgeable about their products and as they say "we don't sell anything we don't know about."  They are willing to bring products into their store for their clients, and to help you find exactly what you want.  Even if they don't sell it yet, they will make sure you know where to find it.  They bend over backwards for their customers, and that is rare in these times.

Inventory/Products - 8

Their products are kept stocked, and if you order something they call you as soon as it comes in.  They make sure to carry what you like, and to try to bring in what you want.  They are a small store, but they have quite a surprising selection for their size.

SCORE OVER ALL - 26 OUT OF 30!!!!
