Hey All! Got another review for you out there. The Clone Frankenskull Squonker by Fasttech. So sit back, grab your vape of choice, and read on. . . .
This is the first squonker I have owned, and the ONLY one currently. I have been curious as hell about the Squonk box. Who wouldnt be, honestly? An RDA with the only real negative about it, the need to incessantly open it up and reload the wick with juice, taken away and made into a feature and not the flaw it has been until now. Dripping and driving is NOT a good idea, lemme tell ya! lol The Squonk box is an amazing idea, honestly. Lemme break it down for the uninformed....
The pin in the base of the 510 pin, a small screw in the piece that screws into the Mod and powers it? It is now hollow, and there is a tube leading to a small bottle that has extra juice in it.
The juice bottle is squeezed and it goes up the pipe, thru the hollow pin, and into the base of the RDA, soaking the wick for you.
Brilliant, right? Right. But I digress....
So. I heard about the Frankenskull Squonker, found it online for a song, and bought it. I also purchased an extra order of bottles, as it was recommended. So, I ordered it and it came roughly 3 weeks later. The box was black with the Frankenskull design in silver on the lid. Inside was the replacement hardware (rings, extra screws, extra coils, cotton, screwdriver) the box, the RDA, and two different drip caps (longer and shorter) all tucked within the box. Putting it together was a breeze, and filling the bottle and placing it was simple as well, which is good because there was no manual included.
The Juice hole is in the direct center of the RDA, in a raised area in the juice well. The alan wrench is included and used to undoi the screws for Coil placement. the holes are large enough that a larger Coil can be used if you want to. I did a fused Clapton Coil for a bit, but didnt like how the juice tasted withj it in there so I swapped it out for a handcoiled Coil in 26g wire, as seen above.
Now, the vapor and lung hit. Excellent and meh. Ideal amounts of taste and clouds. I found myself hitting it like a pipe, puffing at it a bit to get the cloud level up and to warm up the coil and wicks. That seems to be key, for me anyways. (Sorry if this seems obvious to some. I am kind of self taught.) It is easy to use and the draw is easy and smooth too. You get a lot of air and vapor, but it doesn't give you much of a lung hit at all. That is the MEH part of it, the lack of a lung hit on mild juices.
The cap is decorated with the logo, and turns completely, with the air holes in the bottom of the cap and RDA. You get great airflow with this, too. Quite a bit better then I thought I would, actually. Pictured above is the shorter mouthpiece, and the longer one is straight with no indenture at all, and about double the height. Aesthetically speaking, I prefer the shorter one to the longer. Because reasons.
Anywho, overall the Frankenskull Squonker Clone from Fasttech is a pretty damn good find. Inexpensive, a great "training wheels" setup for a beginning vaper, and if one accidentally loses or ruins it it wouldn't be prohibitively expensive to replace. All in all, an excellent find.

kind of a boring box, but the array of colors makes it better. I also adore the logo!
Ease of build/use : 7
if you can use a regular Box Mod, this is familiar to ya. The squeeze bottle is the only difference (DUH) and that is pretty intuitive. Also the coils and wicking is easy as pie.
Lung hit/clouds/taste : 7
Great clouds, after the coil "warms up". Great airflow, but little to no lung hit with the milder juices, not even with huge clouds. Have no idea why, it just ended up like that.
Over all score : 20/30
